Long time no blog
Well well. So much for being a blog freak, huh? It's been over a year, that's pretty sad.
So summer is halfway over and it hasn't been too painful with the kids being around all the time. Nick actually has been quite busy between girls and new friends he met at the pool. Christina has had a less successful summer - it seems her friends are all away or busy with other things. She finally got a job, thank god for that anyway. The biggest downfall of having them here all the time is that I haven't been able to workout. I can't do it with everyone watching me, and I can't afford to join a gym so it hasn't been happening for a few weeks now. I miss it. :( I want my alone time back! LOL.
Before I know it, it will be September and things will be crazy again. I am anxious and nervous about starting the nursing program. I just hope I don't regret it. I want to do it, I really do, I just don't know how much I can override my senses, kwim? I am worried that my ookiness with certain stuff is going to be my downfall. I guess we will see. Getting the paperwork together has been somewhat of a bitch. I had titers done for my vaccines and I somehow had a negative Rubella titer so I have to get that shot again tomorrow. Then I can finally gather all this shit and take it up to the school's health office. I just want to get it done. My uniforms should be arriving any day now, too. Yay, they are ugly as sin!
Hmmm. Metal mouth. Last Friday I got my "braces" put on and they are a bitch. Eating is no longer enjoyable. Everything gets stuck back there and it's a freaking project just to eat and clean it all out afterwards. Gross huh? Not to mention the retainer is totally ridiculous and uncomfortable. 8-10 months I have to wear this crap. UGHHHHH. Maybe I'll lose a few pounds in the process since eating sucks so bad now.
What else? I'm going away with Sandy and Shannon the 2nd weekend of August and I can't wait. No kids. No husbands. Just us. It is going to be awesome and it's long overdue. We are going to Ocean City, MD. I don't have to drive and that alone is a MAJOR bonus. Woohooo!
